The family should have sought outside help. There are many dog trainers and training schools in most cities that could have helped train Neo. While we all want to train our dogs, sometimes we need the help of professionals to help them overcome habits that are deeply ingrained.
What was Neo’s past?
A dog’s past is more relevant if they are going to be a rescue dog. If they have been abused, they may be afraid of certain people or certain actions that we are not aware of. Perhaps Neo had been abused before the family found him and that explained his strange behavior? Maybe not.
