3. How to water the orchid
If you water the orchids with a watering can it is very easy for the roots to receive too much – or too little – water. The water has to reach all the roots, and only when we have made sure that they are dry after the last watering. Due to their natural habitat, orchids are used to tropical storms, so they need the surface they grow on to be completely soaked.
Experts suggest using the technique of immersing the pot in a container of water. Make sure the pot has holes in the bottom and let it soak in warm water for half an hour. Then drain it and put it back in place. Repeat every 10 days.
